The 2016 Colourful Yunnan Granfondo Cycling Festival is fully booked as of today. It is the first time since the inaugural edition in 2014 that the event has reached maximum capacity before the start, proving its increasing significance in the Asian mass participation cycling scene.
At the start in Kunming in 10 days will be no fewer than 500 riders who will be riding and travelling to five cities in total between 6 and 12 November. These 500 granfondo riders will be joined by hundreds of other local cyclists who take part in just 1 or a few stages on the tour. In total about 1300 riders will be present during the Festival.
Nordic Ways and the Yunnan provincial authorities are grateful to see the enthusiasm of the cycling community for this important event, and are looking forward to a fantastic week of cycling. And sightseeing as well, because the five stages take place in some of Yunnan's biggest tourist destinations.
